What is Sentinel, exactly?
Sentinel is the intelligent layer that sits on top of your solar and battery system. Where a standard system just generates and stores power, Sentinel actively manages it: charging your battery when grid electricity is cheapest, exporting when prices are highest, reading weather forecasts and learning how your home uses energy. It also monitors your system around the clock, so faults are caught and resolved remotely, often before you would notice. It is the difference between a system that is installed and forgotten and one that keeps working for you.
Is the assessment really free?
Yes. Your remote assessment is completely free, with no obligation. If a site visit is needed, or you would prefer one, there is a £99 deposit, which we deduct from your final invoice. We explain everything up front, so there are no surprises.
How long does the remote survey take?
Around 30 to 40 minutes on the phone, at a time that suits you. Most homes can be assessed remotely without anyone needing to visit.
Do you need to come to my home?
Usually not. We can assess most homes remotely. If your property does need a site visit, we will tell you first, and that is where the optional £99 deposit (deducted from your final invoice) would apply.
I have already had solar quotes. Is it worth talking to you?
Definitely. Most quotes compare hardware and price. They rarely show what an actively managed system can add on top, which is exactly what Sentinel does. It is well worth getting our figures in front of you before you make a final decision, even if you are close to signing with someone else.
How is the Sentinel uplift figure worked out?
The calculator gives you a realistic estimate based on your bill, home and tariff, using typical UK generation, self-consumption and export values. Your free assessment then turns that estimate into exact figures for your specific home and system.
Is Sentinel included in the price?
Sentinel is included free for the first 12 months with every HSEnergy installation. After that it continues as a low-cost subscription, which most homeowners find pays for itself through smarter energy use and export earnings.
What equipment do you install?
We install FoxESS solar panels and battery storage, fitted by our MCS-certified team. It is proven, high-quality hardware, and Sentinel is what makes it work harder than a standard installation.
Is there any obligation?
None at all. You get your estimate, your assessment and your full quote with no pressure. If the numbers do not work for you, that is absolutely fine.
Where do you operate?
We work with homeowners across England. Your postcode at the assessment stage helps us confirm coverage and tailor your quote.
