Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

Important Information About Your Electrical Equipment

At HSEnergy Group Ltd, we’re committed to helping our customers understand the environmental responsibilities that come with buying electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). Below is some key information every household user should know — and we’ll keep this available for at least 4 years, as required by law.

Don’t Throw WEEE in the Bin

Each EU Member State, including the UK under retained law, must work to minimise the disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in general rubbish and ensure high levels of separate collection. This helps reduce environmental harm and supports better recycling.

Take-Back & Collection Made Easy

As part of your purchase with us, you have access to free WEEE return options:

  • Drop-off location: Unit 4 Paynes Place Farm, Cuckfield Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 8RG
  • Collection service: Available during new installations or upgrades

Your Role Matters

By returning your old electricals to us, you’re helping:

  • Conserve raw materials
  • Reduce landfill waste
  • Support reuse and safe recycling

Environmental & Health Risks

Many electronic items may contain hazardous materials such as lead, mercury, or cadmium. If not disposed of properly, these substances can harm:

  • The environment (polluting soil, water, air)
  • Human health (through exposure to toxic materials)
