The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Senior Warehouse Operative to join our team. The role will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring stock accuracy, supporting logistics, and maintaining smooth workflows. This position requires hands-on warehouse work, supervision of stock control processes, and effective use of CRM systems (preferably Zoho, including Zoho Inventory) You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure equipment is correctly prepared, transported, and delivered to installers on time

Responsibilities

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the smooth running of warehouse operations, ensuring stock is handled accurately, orders are prepared on time, and high standards of organisation and safety are maintained from goods-in through to dispatch and aftercare:

  • Oversee general warehouse maintenance, tidiness, and safe working practices.
  • Supervise and carry out loading/unloading of kit, ensuring stock is handled with care.
  • Ensure timely delivery of kits and equipment to solar installers, businesses, or other specified destinations – frequent travel will be required
  • Manage and monitor stock control, ensuring accurate stock levels through regular stock takes and audits.
  • Record, track, and update stock data in the company’s CRM system (preferably Zoho CRM & Zoho Inventory)
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate logistics and warehouse priorities.
  • Support warehouse team members in daily operations and assist management in streamlining workflows.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Liaise with installers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of equipment.
Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you will need to bring proven experience in warehouse operations along with the ability to lead by example, ensuring efficient stock management, safe working practices, and reliable support to keep operations running smoothly:

  • Forklift Licence – essential.
  • Clean UK Driving Licence – essential
  • Proven warehouse experience – essential.
  • CRM system knowledge – experience with Zoho CRM / Zoho Inventory or similar required.
  • Strong organisational and stock management skills.
  • Must be 25 years of age or older (due to vehicle insurance requirements).
  • Ability to carry out physical work, including heavy lifting.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Desirable Attributes

  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience within the renewable energy or construction sector.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Telehandler Licence
